Jerry Seinfeld is a comedian who made it big by taking bits of the mean spirited—if supremely funny—insult schtick of Don Rickles, mixing that with the super-cynicism of his pal and cohort Larry David and turning the whole schmear into a type of self-absorbed but hugely relevant comedic television fare that consumed most viewers in the '90s and provided a heck of a lot of influence for today's young and self-insecure comics—who sometimes seem to be insulting themselves, frankly—and gave David's career a second wind in the aughts. Why not try and figure out what all of that means—or doesn't—by going to the source itself? A master of the postmodern, Jerry Seinfeld performs live on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7pm in downtown Burque at the Kiva Auditorium. Admission prices for this all-ages comedy extravaganzarange in price from $135 to $250 for a trip to a place where the normative gets twisted until there are nuts in the eye and Superman paraphernalia is scattered everywhere.
