The City of Albuquerque made many advances in the past year. Hear all about them when the Honorable Mayor of the City of Albuquerque, Tim Keller, makes his annual State of the City address on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The event begins with a community celebration at 10am followed by a program of speeches and proclamations from Burque's progressive municipal governance team starting at 1pm. The all-ages event is free, but citizens must reserve tickets by emailing mayorkellerinvites@cabq.gov. (August March)

City on the Edge is a breezy, smart podcast looking at the stories from Albuquerque history that have often been overlooked. Each episode takes a deep dive into a topic like the 1955 crash of TWA flight 260, Sandia Man or the 1918 quarantine. Worthwhile listening that will spur your curiosity about things you didn’t even know about in the city where you live. It’s free and available wherever you get your podcasts. (Clarke Condé)
