The Week in Sloth

Thursday 7

NBA Finals Game One” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) I don’t know who’s playing. But if basketball actually matters to you, I’m sure you do. In which case, you probably don’t need me to remind you about this. ... I’ll shut up now.

Friday 8

My Daddy, the Crocodile Hunter” (Animal Planet 7 p.m.) Young Bindi Irwin looks back on her father Steve Irwin’s storied life.

Saturday 9

Bindi the Jungle Girl” (Animal Planet 3 p.m.) A mere day after saluting her dead father, Bindi Irwin gets her own TV series.

Ice Spiders (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) Oh, come on, Sci-Fi! Now you’re just sticking random words together. I have no idea what the crap “ice spiders” are supposed to be, but apparently they’re terrorizing Patrick Muldoon from “Melrose Place” and Vanessa Williams (who ... was also on “Melrose Place”).

Ruffian (KOAT-7 8 p.m.) Sam Shepard and Frank Whaley (loved you in Pulp Fiction) star in this true story about an “inspirational” horse who ran in the 1975 Belmont Stakes.

Sunday 10

Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race” (KOAT-7 6 p.m.) Actress Krista Allen, Skateboarder Tony Hawk and Rodeo champ Ty Murray race cars in the first episode of ABC’s new summer sports/reality series.

The Planet’s Best with Terri and Bindi” (Animal Planet 7 p.m.) Bindi Irwin heads up her third TV show in as many days.

The 61st Annual Tony Awards” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) If you’ve been keeping as close a tab on this past Broadway season as I have, then you’ll be on pins and needs waiting to find out if Legally Blonde: The Musical wins Best Book.

“The Sopranos” (HBO 10 p.m.) HBO’s landmark series gets whacked. The end of an era, people.

Monday 11

Screened Out: Gay Images in Films (TCM 6 p.m.) Turner Classic movies spends Mondays and Wednesdays all month exploring the portrayal of gays and lesbians in Hollywood films. Tonight, it’s a six-film marathon of men and women behind bars, including 1932’s Hell’s Highway, 1933’s The Ladies They Talk About, 1950’s Caged, 1950’s [url]http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042982/So Young, So Bad, 1957’s The Strange One and 1955’s Women’s Prison.

Big Love” (HBO 10 p.m.) HBO spreads some of its Sunday night goodness to Monday nights.

Tuesday 12

WEC WrekCAGE” (Versus 8 p.m.) What the world needs now is more people in cages beating on each other.

Wednesday 13

First Annual Guy’s Choice Awards” (Spike 8 p.m.) This manly “anti-awards show” whittles several categories (Best Ass-Kicker, Ballsiest Band, Hottest Girl on the Planet) down to only two contestants and forces them to duke it out mano-a-mano on stage for the trophy.

Rescue Me” (FX 11 p.m.) Denis Leary returns for a fourth season of dysfunction and firefighting.

Lil’ Bush” (Comedy Central 11:30 p.m.) CC pokes fun at the prez with this pint-sized animated version of our Decider in Chief.
