“Project Runway” (Lifetime 8 p.m.) It’s part one of the two-part season finale. So, not so much the “finale” as the “next-to-last episode.”
“Science of the Movies” (Science 9 p.m.) OK, I’m guessing there’s going to be precious little actual science in this second season premiere—titled “Zombies! Science of the Undead”—but I don’t care. I’m totally watching anyway.
“How It’s Made” (Science 7 p.m.) Tonight’s subjects: stuffed olives, astrolabes and Western saddles. Wow. I at least give this show’s producers credit for their ability to say the first word that pops into their minds. Next week ... Girl Scout badges, Twinkies and wombats.
“Battle of the Wedding Planners” (TLC 8 p.m.) Sorry TLC, but I’m imposing a moratorium on any more of your wedding-related reality shows. Babies and cakes, too, while we’re at it. Seriously, point your cameras at something different.
Poor Pretty Eddie (TCM midnight) This 1975 drive-in flick starring Leslie Uggams, Shelley Winters, Ted Cassidy, Dub Taylor and Slim Pickens (I know!) is certainly one of the odder pieces of blaxploitation/
Ice Twisters (SyFy 7 p.m.) Ouch, that sounds more like some painful prank you play on a frat brother than the topic of a crummy, made-for-TV disaster movie.
“Super Dave’s Spike-Tacular” (Spike 9 p.m.) Faux daredevil (and Albert Brooks sibling) Super Dave Osborne comes out of retirement to anchor this new slapstick, stunt-filled comedy series.
The Prisoner (AMC 6 p.m.) Jim Caviezel steps into the shoes of Patrick McGoohan as Number Six while Sir Ian McKellen takes over for Leo McKern (and a bunch of other guys) as Number Two in this three-night miniseries remake of the paranoid-psychedelic British spy-fi series from the ’60s.
“WWII in HD” (History 7 p.m.) Wow, it looks so much more realistic now.
“Dear Food Network: Top 10 Thanksgiving Problems Solved” (Food Network 7 p.m.) At this point, if you don’t know that basting keeps your turkey from drying out, you’re just screwed. Get takeout.
“Merry Madagascar” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) The cartoon animals from Madagascar sub for Santa in this seasonal special. ... Heck with waiting around for Christmas, that’s more than a month away! Watch your holiday cheer now and get your ass to the mall.
“Being Neil Armstrong” (BBC America 9 p.m.) Yeah, I’m betting that’s a pretty badass condition.
“Secrets of Shangri-La” (KNME-5 7 p.m.) Mountaineer Peter Athans explores a series of hidden caves in the remote Himalayan kingdom of Mustang, uncovering ancient murals, manuscripts and religious sites dating back to the 11th century.
“America’s Next Top Model: Revealed” (KWBQ-19 8 p.m.) What’s the opposite of “bated breath”?
