Brand: A Second Coming (Showtime 7pm) This rather unexpected film documents Russell Brand’s transformation from sex- and drug-addicted comedian to enlightened activist encouraging social, spiritual and economic revolution.

“BattleBots: The Gears Awaken” (KOAT-7 9pm) The robotic combat arena competition “BattleBots” ran for five seasons on Comedy Central (of all places). Now it’s back on ABC (of all places). Clark Gregg (from “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) will serve as special celebrity judge for some reason.
“Outdaughtered” (TLC 8pm) Thanks, TLC, for providing talentless, unskilled Americans a whole new path to effortless fame and fortune—overbreed like crazy and land yourself a TLC reality show.
“Woman” (Viceland 8pm) OF (original feminist) Gloria Steinem travels the world meeting with women “at the intersection of violence and stability, of oppression and progress.”
