Wondering why times are missing?

Spring Night, Summer Night (1967)

This rarely screened 1967 portrait of poverty-stricken Appalachia tells the fictional story of a coal miner's daughter who has an affair with her half-brother. Shot entirely on location in southern Ohio, the film marks the start of a movement in "regional cinema" that became increasingly popular throughout the '70s and '80s. A taboo-busting indie cinema hallmark. Former Guild Cinema co-owner and film restorationist Peter Conheim will be there in person for a talk regarding this "lost" film's recent 4K reconstruction and restoration. 82 minutes R.
