Well, at least the title is correct. Ben Stein-- best known as the boring teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but famous as a speechwriter for Richard Nixon before that--puts his face on this shameless piece of "intelligent design" propaganda. The documentary was originally called Crossroads and depicted as an examination of the intersection between science and religion. Then the film's producers intercut a bunch of Hitler footage with the evolutionary biologist interviews to make them sound evil and anti-Christian. If you believe that religious faith requires no proof or that a scientific understanding of our universe doesn't preclude religion, then this film will only piss you off. If, on the other hand, you're convinced Adam and Eve used to ride around on the backs of dinosaurs, this collection of creationist disinformation, oversimplification, black-and-while fallacies and glittering generalities will make you happier than Fred Phelps at a military funeral.90 minutes PG.
