The life and work of renowned primatologist Jane Goodall is examined in this moving documentary from Brett Morgen (The Kid Stays in the Picture, Cobain: Montage of Heck). National Geographic handed the filmmaker 140 hours worth of previously unseen 16mm color film shot in the '60s, detailing the work Goodall did studying wild chimpanzees in Africa, resulting in an elucidating, up-close look at her pioneering research. Philip Glass provides the emotional score. 90 minutes PG.
