Random Tracks from Leech of Lore Andy Lutz

Leeches of Lore is a three-headed monster responsible for disassembling brains far and wide with its warp-speed metal stylings. Steve Hammond (guitar, vocals), Noah Wolters (organ, Mellotron) and Andy Lutz (drums) complete the pulchritudinous trio, which is releasing dual albums at Launchpad on Friday. We asked Lutz to take his music library for a spin and see what random tracks might surface. Below are the results.

Destroyed Tones

Tenderizor—purveyor of epic heavy metal and subsequent rainbows in the dark—is something of an Albuquerque supergroup. Its five members include Steve Hammond (Leeches of Lore), Raven Chacon (Death Convention Singers, Black Guys, KILT), brothers Mike and Pat Day (Fando, Old Man) and Kris Kerby (Sabertooth Cavity). This week, Tenderizor releases its first record, Touch The Sword, out on Chacon’s label Sicksicksick Distro.

Moon Music

Citizens of Earth: The spaceship known as Leeches of Lore flies into Burt’s Tiki Lounge (313 Gold SW) this week, pounding high hats and Mai Tais while shredding the clothing right off your body. The Spittin’ Cobras (which contains members of ’80s psycho-sexual punkers The Dwarves and German industrial band KMFDM) joins the intergalactic mission along with Black Guys. The rock invasion, which shall only be beheld by those over 21 years of age, can be sighted free of charge Downtown near the tenth hour on Tuesday, Dec. 8. (Jessica Cassyle Carr)
