Position Summary The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Mexico has a full-time lecturer position available beginning Fall 2018. Duties include supervising the Mathematics Learning Lab (MaLL), and teaching general lower division mathematics courses in the Fall and Spring semesters. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Master’s Degree from an Accredited Institution, by appointment start date, in Mathematics or Statistics (or a closely related field) 2-4 years of relevant professional teaching experience at the undergraduate level 1-2 years of experience as administrator for the Emporium Model of teaching, including hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising tutors and instructors Preferred Requirements PhD from an Accredited Institution, by appointment start date in Mathematics or Statistics (or a closely related field) Demonstrated excellence in teaching a variety of mathematics or statistics courses at the post-secondary, lower-division level Proven ability to work cooperatively and collegially Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as, working with broadly diverse communities.
