UNM’s Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) provides seamless delivery of professional support services and facilitates best practices in capital project planning, development and construction on behalf of our internal clients. We also provide comprehensive guidance related to the institution’s built environment; specifically, strategic guidance supportive of campus master planning, programming, architectural development, building efforts and best design practices. PDC seeks a flexible, driven, and results-oriented professional with demonstrated experience in database management. This position is responsible for overseeing our TMA information management system which includes reviewing the quality of data collection to validate accuracy and legitimacy of data, generating departmental and ad hoc reports, performing data analysis, and providing technical guidance in supporting users in the daily use of data systems. This position will be critical in the development and implementation of improved data management strategies and systems for PDC. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate creative problem solving skills, will take initiative to improve processes, and have the ability to troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications. See the Position Description for additional information. High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. • Bachelor’s Degree in related field. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Advanced analytical skills. • 5 years or more of demonstrated direct experience with database administration. • Experience with user support training in providing technical guidance in design and functionality of a database system. • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience, both in writing and in person. • Ability to research independently and apply problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. • Proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Project. Main - Albuquerque, NM Capital Projects Office (250A) Staff Regular - Full-Time Non-Exempt $13.62 (minimum) to $20.43 (midpoint) This is a benefits eligible position.
