Req4042 Custodian - This position is for the Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 130 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The University of New Mexico Gallup Branch, Physical Plant & Facilities Department, is seeking applications for a Custodian. The custodial position will maintain the cleanliness of the UNM Gallup campus facilities, promote workplace safety and environmental practices, and ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, secure facilities at the end of day, secure gates and doors, turn off lights, alarm buildings, assist the Lead Custodian with all facilities maintenance. The duties for this position are as follows: dusting, dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, auto scrubbing, mopping, waxing and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, cleaning windows and/or glass, picking up trash, re-lining trash receptacles for proper disposal, cleaning and restocking restrooms, power wash restrooms and other areas, clean classrooms, offices, public areas, maintaining exterior campus grounds as required, taking care of and cleaning equipment when in use and after each use as well as other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. In addition, this position is subject to shift work, which may require evenings and nights, weekends and holidays. Minimum Qualifications Less than high school; no previous experience required. Research Tech/Life Sciences(Req4066) - UNM-Los Alamos is seeking a RESEARCH TECH/LIFE SCIENCES The successful candidate works independently to oversee the operation and maintenance of the general science teaching laboratories; implements and enforces lab safety practices and regulations; works with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staff and students. This person performs a variety of duties to insure safe and dynamic function of a multidisciplinary teaching laboratory (chemistry, biology, physics, geology, and other labs) including but not limited to: preparing reagents, solutions, supplies and equipment, assisting in or cleaning lab glassware and equipment, coordinating use of lab supplies and equipment, organizing and maintaining records, ordering and maintaining supplies, receiving supplies, verifying contents, insuring proper storage, meeting safety procedures, maintaining inventory and arranging maintenance of equipment. This person will: 1. Maintain chemical inventory using the UNM inventory system and integrate the appropriate labeling for chemicals based on the Globally Harmonized System 2. Assist laboratory instructors in set up for science labs and clean up afterwards (including disposal of chemical and biological waste) 3. Order equipment, supplies, chemicals and biological samples for laboratory courses. The successful candidate will work with imaging scientists, physicians and neurosurgeons to develop novel diagnostic MRI methods for mapping brain function in patients with brain tumors using high-frequency resting-state functional MRI. Responsibilities include the development of ultra-high-speed data acquisition and reconstruction techniques on clinical MRI scanners, mapping of brain function using task-based and resting state fMRI, and analysis of measured signal changes using model- and data-driven analysis as well as biophysical models. The successful candidate is expected to be able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team with supervisory responsibilities of graduate student research. A successful candidate may have the opportunity to transition as a Postdoctoral Fellow if desired.
