GOV & AFFILIATE REL COOR

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a governance and affiliate relations coordinator to assist in the development and coordination of our national affiliate programs. The successful candidate will be a registered technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, an ASRT member in good standing, highly professional, personable, collaborative and service-driven. Responsibilities  Maintain the quality and accuracy of affiliate relations and governance activities for ASRT while interacting with members and non-members who are affiliate leaders and volunteers.  Develop and maintain affiliate charters, governance processes and provide information and assistance to affiliate leaders on matters of affiliate and governance issues via various communication vehicles.  May be required to travel occasionally, representing ASRT at professional meetings. Requirements  Registered technologist with certification in at least one specialty or discipline by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  Member in good standing of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.  Associate or bachelor’s degree and knowledge of medical imaging or radiation therapy industry best practices.  Polished communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with volunteers, affiliate leaders and people at all levels of the organization with diplomacy and tact.  Exceptional leadership and project management skills.  Excellent ability to gather, interpret, analyze, track and report data.  Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office and webinar applications.  Solid attention to detail with an eye toward visioning, strategic thinking and planning.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm and poised under pressure.  Strong member focus and the ability to interpret needs and relay trends.  Outstanding critical, analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively negotiate challenges and remove barriers.  Light travel that extends into evenings and weekends may be required. Our member services specialists are at the heart of our nonprofit organization and promote the medical imaging profession by interacting with members via phone, email and chat. The successful candidate will be highly professional, personable, collaborative and service driven. Responsibilities • Thoroughly and efficiently gathers information to proactively fulfill needs, create records and place orders while providing information regarding services and benefits. • Will process membership and product orders, tracks and reviews continuing education certificates while receiving inbound and making outbound phone calls. • Communicates new and emerging issues, maintains reports and ensures accurate data entry. Requirements • Associate’s degree in customer service or communications. • 3-5 years’ of phone-based customer service experience, with a passion for resolving customer issues. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, highly professional work and team environment. • Critical, analytical thinking, problem-solving and time-management skills. • Polished and stellar phone etiquette skills. • Must be able to perform basic tasks of the position with full supervision, including call handling, data entry, responding to member inquiries via phone, email, and chat. • Solid attention to detail skills, with the ability to review and verify documents for content and accuracy. • Comfortable answering inbound calls and making outbound calls. • Ability to proactively upsell and cross sell products. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
