The City of Albuquerque and The Barony of al-Barran, Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, invite all Lords, Ladies, Serfs, Fair Maidens and their offspring to the 2016 Albuquerque Renaissance Faire on Saturday, April 30 from 10am to 6pm on the beautiful grounds of the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.
Among the many wonders of the day will be armored combat exhibitions, living history demonstrations, traditional music of the era, and delicious food at the Commoner's Food Court. Enjoy local beer, wine, cocktails, and mead in the Tilted Tankard Tavern. Celebrate your love with free group weddings and walk-up weddings all day to bind you for life.
For those who love to shop for unique items, there will be handcrafted items from over 35 merchants. A free Children's Realm will keep the small ones entertained and offer the opportunity to Fight a Knight! For those less adventuresome, face painting is also available. A Faire Ware Pet Fashion Contest is open to your royal dogs and an equestrian showcase from the Albuquerque Vaulters will surely entertain all in attendance.
A new addition this year allows visitors to immerse themselves in the Middle Ages by camping in their RV on the grounds of the Museum. Available only Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30; reservations will be accepted until Friday, April 22 at 5pm.
