To celebrate the 11th Anniversary of Women & Creativity Month, the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum will host two large events to "launch" and "land" a month full of events throughout the Albuquerque area.
The focus of this year's celebration is RALLY: HOW WE GATHER. Women of all ages and from all walks of life are invited to explore topics like seed gathering, gathering in native culture and social media, why mammals gather and how weather affects how we gather, gathering to create families, gathering in joy and sorrow, gathering to create.
A LAUNCH: Open House on Sunday, March 6 from 1 to 4pm will offer a relaxed afternoon celebrating uncommon connections. Featuring installations, hands-on experiences, live performances and talks from 2 to 3pm, followed by gathering for food, drink and shared stories. A mix of Albuquerque organizations and individuals will approach the critical topic of gathering based on their areas of expertise, sharing their knowledge and a wealth of information.
There is a suggested donation of $15 for March 6 and $10 for March 31. For more details and to RSVP go to balloonmuseum.com.
