Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

One hundred and seven years (and more than 60 books) in, Dr. Seuss retains his reputation as a creative cartoonist with unrivaled poetic poignancy. His deft use of anapestic tetrameter (say that 10 times fast!) contributed to some of the most memorable and popular books ever written in children's literature. Wish the kaiser a happy birthday today at 6:30 p.m. at Loma Colorado Main Library (755 Loma Colorado NE, Rio Rancho). Festivities include a readers' theater production of "The Cat in the Hat" by the Teen Advisory Group, plus cake and milk from Creamland Dairies. For more, call the library at 891-5013 ext. 3032.
