¡explora!'s bimonthly Adult Nights are an excellent way to feel like a kid again. On top of having access to more than 250 of the museum's hands-on exhibits, they also tidy up the evening nicely with an always-changing theme. Tonight from 6:30 to 10 p.m., jump into the complex world of architecture. Design and construct miniature buildings, put your skills to the test in a prize-awarded design competition and learn about the elements of fusion and tension—no hard hat required. A live performance by Entourage Jazz and night sky viewing with The Albuquerque Astronomical Society are also in the evening's blueprint. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and free for ¡explora! members. Call 224-8323 for more info.

You Can Play With Your Food, Too
When the lights dim, the moon is bright and the mood is just right ... adults head to a children’s museum.
Tonight, ¡explora! opens its doors to the 18-and-up crowd with its Adult Night, which runs every other month from 6:30-10 p.m. Check out all the exhibits, hands-on activities and scientific do-dads ¡explora! has to offer, kid-free. The theme tonight is “The Science of Food,” where you can experiment with sugars and starches, test foods to see what they actually contain, taste foods from local farmers and vendors, and make ice cream from liquid nitrogen, while taking in the tunes of Chris Dracup and Hillary Smith.
Admission is $8, $5 for seniors, and free for ¡explora! members.
