Live & Local to Rock the KiMo

The City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services Department and present the second installment of Live & Local, a free concert featuring two of Albuquerque's most popular musical artists, on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the historic KiMo Theatre.

First onstage at 6:30pm will be Kevin Herig. Kevin
was first introduced to Albuquerque audiences as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the popular band, Asper Kourt. Quickly gaining a strong following with their new age, folk/rock style, the band made an impact on the local music scene. Kevin decided to go solo, bringing his laid back, feel-good style to his songwriting and performances, a treat for audiences of all ages.

Treehouse Basement will take over from 7-8pm. Treehouse Basement plays with passion and writes original feel good songs from the heart. Their influences include Nirvana, Willie Nelson, The Commodores and The Killers. They currently play all over Albuquerque and have played at events like the Local Band Showcase, Fight for Fiestas and 2016 Westside Summerfest.

Live & Local is a program designed to showcase local bands. The concert will be recorded and broadcast at a later date on local cable channel GOV TV 16 and will also be available on YouTube. This is your chance to support local bands and discover new music while in the audience.

A future Live & Local date is set for Thursday, Dec. 1, also being held at the KiMo Theatre, featuring Lone Piñon and Ryan Montano.
