Blonde on Blonde

Before winning an Oscar for her portrayal of June Carter in Walk the Line, Reese Witherspoon starred in a little comedy called Legally Blonde. OK, it wasn't that little. That film inspired a sequel and then a Broadway musical. The tale concerns Elle Woods, a ditzy heiress who decides she's gonna go to Harvard Law to prove to people that she's actually quite bright. Directed by Robb Anthony Sisneros, Musical Theatre Southwest tackles this tale of handbags, hair products and higher education. The run of 12 shows starts opens tonight at 8 p.m. at the Black Box Performance Space (6320 Domingo NE).
