Spay-Ghetti and No Balls Lunch

One of the most distinguishing aspects of former "The Price Is Right" host Bob Barker's legacy wasn't his orange-sprayed skin or his quintessential game show voice, but his simple request to "have your pets spayed or neutered" at the conclusion of each episode. Helping Mr. Barker support animal rights is local activist group Babes and Bullies, which is hosting the Spay-Ghetti and No Balls Lunch at Scalo Northern Italian Grill (3500 Central SE). Today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $20 to $25 dollars—depending on whether you want booze—gets you a pasta dinner with proceeds benefitting the B&B's pit bull advocacy and community outreach efforts. For tickets, you can send your donation to through, or by sending a check to 5308 Westwind NE, 87111.

Drag Queen Bingo

No word on whether an accompanying scratch-and-sniff Odorama card will be available à la Polyester, but we're sure this bingo benefit for New Mexico AIDS Services will be anything but a "drag." Today starting at noon at Scalo (3500 Central SE), join local drag troupe The Dolls and play a few rounds of bingo for a great cause. $25 gets you in with brunch and a bingo card. Get your tickets at, where VIP passes can also be had for an extra-swanky affair.
