Who doesn't like a good cover song? After all, there are bands that become prosperous from other artists songs. Hence Framing Hanley’s cover of "Lollipop," originally by Lil Wayne, which can be heard on 104.1 almost every day. Punk Goes Pop Vol. 2 has covers from Britney Spears to Miley Cyrus with an emo scream here and harder riff there. Although there's a decade gap between songs—Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta" is covered by Chiodos (hi, 1998)—the majority of the covers offer welcome twists on the original. Hands down, the best covers are: The Fray's "Over My Head" covered by A Day to Remember, set at a faster pace and higher pitch; and The Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" covered by Mayday Parade, who changed the lyrics from the cheesy line "I wanna have boobies" to " I wanna have groupies." Ah, clever.
