An old favorite of orchestra audiences\, the symphony conveys Mendelssohn’s impressions of Italy and the Mediterranean region during an 1830–31 visit. Enjoy the famous opening scherzo for yourself! Music Director Roberto Minczuk leads the orchestra in a program also including Daniel Steven Crafts’s Eighteenth Symphony\, a new work.
