Wow! The news this morning rocked my world a little bit. Due to all the violence at the Frontier Restaurant on weekend nights, the place is going to close Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30 to 4 a.m. Even though they’ve had some luck with extra security helping out at the door and inside the joint, fights break out in the parking lot and on the sidewalk among the surly patrons in that long line that snakes up the side of the building.I’m sure they didn’t want to do it. That place gets so packed during those hours, they probably rake in the drunk dollars.But what am I to do for a breakfast burrito after a night of boozin’?Seems like there’s money to be made here for some smart entrepreneur. There’s a gap in this town now. No after-hours parties and no restaurants with capacity and service fast enough to accommodate the bar crowd. Still, it’s an unlucky bit of info for those of us who didn’t go to the cafeteria-style restaurant looking for a brawl.
