Best. President. Ever. (Well, in my lifetime, anyway.)

I don’t think I’m the only one feeling nostalgic for Bill Clinton these days. A great deal of the country seems to be reminiscing in the ’90s, thinking back on a time when we weren’t digging ourselves into a $2 trillion war debt and a good part of the world still liked us. Ah, weren’t those the days ….

All the other Bill Clinton fans in Albuquerque and the surrounding area should be thrilled, because in case you haven’t heard, the ex-president himself will be in town tonight to rally for Patricia Madrid. Here are the details:

Location: Seven Bar Aviation (2505 Clark Carr Road), Gate F-5 (this is south of the Sunport).

Time: People should show up at 9 p.m. President Clinton isn’t expected until 10 p.m., but the crowds are going to be crazy and you’d be wise to get there early.

Parking: You can try to scrounge for parking onsite, or you can take advantage of the free shuttle service and parking available at Airport Parking (1501 Aircraft Avenue, I-25 and Sunport). Gates open at 8 p.m. and shuttles begin at 8:30 p.m.

Cost: Free and open to the public.

If you’d like to get yourself in the mood, here’s a brilliant article I read recently on Bill Clinton that ran a couple months ago in the
New Yorker , written by David Remnick, the master of the profile piece. It’ll make you wish it was 1996.
