The House ethics committee has decided not a single soul will be reprimanded for Foley’s indiscretions. Republican leaders didn’t break any rules, says the panel.

But in an effort to seem stern enough, the committee added that the failure to protect pages put them in danger—along with the integrity of the institution.

Right. And failure to punish those who swept this business under the rug really helps firm up the image of party suffering from mushy backbone.
