Rumor’s getting around that Richardson announced his candidacy for presidency this afternoon. Don’t believe everything you hear (or read). According to a New York Times story filed early this evening, Richardson will announce this Sunday, Jan. 21, that he will "soon file the papers to create a presidential exploratory committee." Note that this doesn’t mean he’s going to formally enter the race, only that he’s going to start raising money and putting together a campaign organization. We’ll have to wait a couple more months to know any more.
