The Rio Grande Botanic Garden will be hosting its annual Winter Wool Festival Saturday, February 24 from 10am to 2pm at the Heritage Farm. Visitors can chat informally with sheep and lambs, learn how wool is processed and feel the luxurious softness of yarns made from the hair of nearly every animal on God’s green earth. You can enjoy the musical stylings of the Bruce and Friends Band at noon and maybe go for a wagon ride, then it’s back to the grindstone to learn how wool is dyed. All this for the regular price of admission.
