This weekend, I’ll be blathering away on “Eye on New Mexico” again. The local current events show will air this Sunday, March 11, at 10 a.m. on Channel 4, right after “Meet the Press.” I love, love, love doing that show, and this week’s installment, which we just finished taping, was particularly enjoyable. Just one subject this week: the whole hoopla over former U.S. attorney David Iglesias allegedly being pressured last October by Sen. Pete Domenici and Rep. Heather Wilson to manipulate the timing of indictments to help Wilson in a tight race for the District One Congressional seat. In addition to the two hosts—Dennis Domrzalski (crusty/belligerent) and Nicole Brady (charming as heck)—right-wing blogger Mario Burgos (well-spoken/beardless) was on the show with me as a guest. All I can say is it got … heated.My only regret is that I didn’t get a haircut. I looked kind of shaggy in the monitor. Poor planning on my part.
