The malfeasance that’s been alleged in the US Attorney scandal is pretty straightforward. Karl Rove, Alberto Gonzales et al conspired to fire a handful of US Attorneys who they believed weren’t sufficiently loyal to Bush. That is, they didn’t pursue frivolous cases against Democrats, or they did pursue legitimate cases against Republicans.Pretty simple stuff.
