A reader just phoned in to say that Restaurant El Sol, housed in the South Broadway building that was once home to Cafe Broadway and Maximitos, is no longer in business. Sad news, but it was only a matter of time.That building is cursed, I tell you. Maybe it’s time for some wealthy patron of classic Albuquerque architecture to buy it and turn it into something other than a restaurant. A mansion? A museum? A … I don’t know, what would you put there?
