I’m still not sure why the city hasn’t decided to make this a year-round program–maybe one day the administration will catch on and realize that people stay out late all times of year and not just in the summer (what a novel idea). In the meantime, we officially have Rapid After Dark service again, which means you can catch the Rapid Ride until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights (service usually ends at 8 p.m.)Here are the details: Buses will run every 20 minutes. One-way trips cost $1, or you can buy a "VIP" pass, which costs $15, gives you unlimited rides throughout the season and comes with a number of coupons for restaurants and businesses along the Rapid Ride route. The service will go until Sept. 22.
