CBS filmed their new reality series “Kid Nation” at the privately owned Bonanza Creek Movie Ranch, but the real draw to New Mexico turned out to be a loophole in our child labor laws. Producers wanted to make sure they could work their 40 or so child stars more than ten hours a day. That’s impressive. I can barely get mine to take the garbage out.
