School’s just around the corner—take in one last weekend of pure summer bliss. On top of local events, there are a few cool things happening in Santa Fe if you’re looking for a little mini-roadtrip vacation.

Rara Avis—Come see this amazing work of acrobatic feats, aerial dance, shadow puppetry and physical theater at Wise Fool Studios in Santa Fe starting tonight at 8 p.m. The show also runs tomorrow at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. this weekend only.

Yea! Ice Cream! —The Santa Fe Children’s Museum hosts its annual Ice Cream Sunday! fundraising event this Sunday, Aug. 12, from noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy root beer floats, ice cream sundaes, hotdogs and more while jamming out to live music, jumping in bouncy castle or climbing around the Hondo Volunteer Fire Department fire truck. Entry is just $1 and all proceeds benefit the museum.

You Say Tomato —If you looove tomatoes, then you haaave to be at the Albuquerque Garden Center (10120 Lomas NE) this Sunday, Aug. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 2007 Albuquerque Tomato Fiesta. Learn from tomato experts how to grow the best ‘matos this side of the Rio Grande, enjoy live music, door prizes and more. It’s $5 at the door or free for kids.
