Did you hear about the measure on the table in the House to tax gaming hardware and software 1 percent? It’s called the Leave No Child Inside Act, and the money would go to support outdoor recreation programs. Since the Legislature is having such a hard time even getting big items passed, I doubt this will make it through. But Rep. Gail Chasey’s bill is creeping up the Technorati ranks.Sure, it’s not exactly like taxing smokers in terms of percentage, but it’s another effort by government to change one’s lifestyle by charging more for activities it deems unhealthy.
