I am at best a casual viewer of MSNBC’s political pundit show "Hardball," but this article in the New York Times Magazine about the program’s host Chris Matthews is a great read. It details Matthews career in politics, his tenuous relationship with NBC News A-teamer Tim Russert and the Cable TV icon’s obsession with calling women "knockouts." It’s a very honest, not at all hagiographic piece that offers a peek inside the mind of someone who loves to hear himself talk.
