The last weekend of June is already here. Where does the summer go? Young Guns Shootout Skaters and skate fans will swarm the Alamosa Skate Park on Saturday, June 26, for the NMX Sports Young Guns Shootout—New Mexico’s only amateur skateboarding series. Registration for the 18-and-under event starts at 3 p.m. ($5 nonmembers, free for NMX Sports members) and the winner will earn a slot in the finals on July 28 at Los Altos Skatepark. The winner of the whole shindig gets an all-expense-paid trip to Camp Woodward West. Box Sale The Box Performance Space is holding its first annual Box Rummage Sale tomorrow, June 28, starting at 9 a.m. to raise funds to keep the theater’s youth-geared programs running strong. Stop by and browse—who knows what treasures you may find. The stick around or come back later for a performance by the One Night Stanleys at 9 p.m. followed by the pilot episode of The Q: An Improvised Soap Opera . The Pollinator! Learn all about bees, birds and other potent pollinators from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Botanic Garden (2601 Central NW) tomorrow, June 28.
