9 a.m. " Inauguration Yoga" at YogaNow (215 Gold SW). Practice yoga poses and watch the proceedings projected onto the wall.

9:30 a.m. " USA Inauguration Celebration" at the Unitarian Universalist Church (1650 Abrazo at Inca) in Rio Rancho. Take in the televised address and eat a finger-foods brunch.

9:50 a.m. Joe Biden is sworn in as vice president.

10 a.m. Barack Obama takes his oath of office. The inaugural address will follow.

Noon "Inaugural Celebration" at O’Niell’s Pub (4310 Central SE). Domestic drafts will be $1 cheaper all day. Live video feed in the event room. Music from 7 p.m. until midnight. Free inauguration cake while supplies last.

5 p.m. " Bye Bye Bush – Hello Obama" at the Teofilos Restaurante (114 Main Street) in Los Lunas. Everyone’s responsible for their own checks, "no bailouts available."

6:30 p.m. " The People’s Inauguration Celebration" at the African American Performing Arts Center (310 San Pedro NE). Event organizers promise entertainers from around New Mexico, food and a live feed from Washington. RSVP here .

7 p.m. " ABQ Inaugural Ball” at El Rey (620 Central SW). There will be a live video feed from Washington. Le Chat Lunatique and The Rebbe’s Orkestra perform. Everyone under 21 must have a parent present. Entry is $5-$10 on a sliding scale. Proceeds go to nonprofits, and attendees will decide which ones.

10 p.m. “Rock with Obama” at Launchpad (618 Central SW). The Dirty Novels, Pan!c, Shoulder Voices and The Demons bring the party. 21+. $3
