The cabaret will also feature Chicks with Chainsaws from Madrid and Drag Queen Guava Chiffon. The show begins at 8 p.m. at Wise Fool Studios (2778-D Agua Fria) in Santa Fe, and doors open at 7:30. Tickets are not available in advance, so DeLovely recommends you get there early. Tickets are $10 to $15, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Not everyone worships the hearts-and-candy holiday. Santa Fe’s Gender Offenders knows this. The troupe, unwilling to chain itself to any particular definition, aptly named 2009’s V-Day show (un)Lucky in Love . "We want to appeal to everyone," says KiKi DeLovely, "those who are jaded and not so into Valentine’s Day and those who are super-in-love and hopeful." The Offenders will mix burlesque with drag performers and circus-based acts. "When we say kings, queens and in-betweens, we really mean it," DeLovely says. She began taking the stage as a drag king a decade or so ago, but these days she expresses femininity exclusively on stage. You don’t have to fall squarely into one category or another to join up with the Offenders. "It’s truly a mix of all sorts of gender presentations," she says.
