I visit a cheezy desert amusement park. The old man proprietor rams his bathtub-boat against the thin concrete and chin link wall of the bumper-boats pool in an attempt to startle passengers of the small adjacent roller coaster. I worry that something will break. On his third attempt, the tub jumps the fence with a big splash and lands in some cactus. The old man smiles sheepishly.
