This shark was found dead on a Long Island shore on Tuesday. Its species is the second-largest kind of fish in the world, although it mostly eats plankton and isn’t considered dangerous to humans, according to this
National Geographic article. Even though the shark is dead, the photo of the little girl next to it still freaks me out. R.I.P., sharky.
