Matt Fuemmeler, an avid cyclist and marathoner, is putting on a ride and raffle to help an uninsured friend cover the costs of living with cancer. Fuemmeler got together with The Bike Coop and fellow cyclists who put on Albuquerque’s Critical Mass, the Poker Ride and the Alleycat races. Bike down to the Center of the Universe (near the Duck Pond at UNM) at noon. The ride starts at 1 p.m., and $10 gets you in with a raffle ticket. There are no prizes for winning the race, but there will be ample raffle giveaways: rafting trips down the Rio Grande Gorge, hot yoga, art, pole-dancing exercise classes, time in the tattoo chair, and Marble Brewery and Il Vicino certs.
