A state commission has just passed a ban on red light cameras as a way to enforce traffic on state-operated roads in parts of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. This ban includes Coors Blvd, Paseo del Norte, and interstates I-25 and I-40. The cameras that the policy would effect must be removed within 60 days upon implementation of the ban.No word yet on whether any tickets previously received in the infracting intersections will now be considered null and void.
