We’re going back to the ‘80s for this weekend’s Midnight Movie Madness screenings at Guild Cinema. Believe it or not, we’ve hunted down a 35mm print of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie . Yes, in 1987, the Topps Company tried to spin its infamously gross trading cards off into a feauture film. Not only was the resulting bit of celluloid a box office flop, it became one known as one of the worst films ever made. So, return with us to the weird, ill-advised and borderline incomprehensible world of the Garbage Pail Kids. Screenings are at 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, and Saturday, Sept. 18. We’ll be giving out tons of prizes as well. The first 50 ticketholders through the door each night get free swag courtesy of Albuquerque’s own Astro-Zombies!
