Federal Communications Commissioner Michael Copps is coming to Albuquerque to hear from citizens about Internet access and net neutrality. Web freedom fighters argue that government and Internet service providers should not restrict access and speed. Opponents of net neutrality say companies should be allowed to develop tiers of access and to direct traffic away from competitors in the interest of progress. Congress, through inaction, has left the topic in the hands of the FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, according to Washington Post reporter Rob Pegoraro. So now is the time to speak up.
