The Independent Games Festival has opened up voting for the best indie video games of the year. I haven’t played a lot of the games listed. Many are not yet finished, and most are available only as downloads. I have, however, played roughly 30,000 hours worth of Minecraft, so that counts for something. Among the games you can play online right now is The Dream Machine, a dense, old-school-style point-and-click adventure done up in a unique clay-animation style. The first two intriguing chapters of the game are ready to play and will take you a good amount of time to wade through. The final chapter of this spooky contemporary mystery won’t be available until August, so you’ll have to wait until then to solve the entire thing.
