Toss out all those coddling modern conveniences and learn what it truly means to "rough it" during the Duke City Sleep Out. A benefit for the Metropolitan Homelessness Project, you’re armed with only a tent, a 10-by-10 area, and hopefully some carefully chosen family and friends. Throughout the night, watch performances by Test Tube Panda, Smooth Action Cap, Chasing Disaster, DJs Carlos B and Audio Buddha. There are also artists, dancers, stargazing and a movie showing. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. at Bullhead Memorial Park (Ridgecrest and San Pedro SE). To register and for a complete list of what to bring, visit mhp-nm.org.
