The holidays should be a time for renewed perspective and taking a moment to focus on not what you’re missing, but what you already have. A roof over your head is a good place for most of us to start. Thousands of people die each year while homeless, a number that goes largely unnoticed. Join the New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness for a Homeless Persons’ Memorial Vigil on today. Beginning at 12:45 p.m., gather at Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (corner of Mountain and First Street) and proceed to First United Methodist Church (314 Lead SW) for a memorial service remembering those less fortunate who passed during the calendar year. For more, visit nmceh.org or call the coalition at 217-9570.
