If you’re not a dyed-in-the-wool maniac about the old Nintendo Entertainment System, you probably have no idea who Abobo is. Even if you wore out your thumbs on the NES, you may not recall this minor villain character from the classic Double Dragon video game. Nonetheless, some dedicated fanboy programmers decided to give the lovable lout his own game. Abobo’s Big Adventure pits the bald baddie against a who’s-who of 8-bit characters (hey, it’s Donkey Kong!) in a side-scrolling action game of epic proportions. Sly humor and manic, button-mashing action make this a nostalgic must-play.
