Last year, right around this same time, I suffered an outbreak of hives around my crotch and torso. Freaked the bejesus out of me, let me tell you. Little red welts all over the place. I didn't even know what they were until I went to see the dermatologist.
He said not to worry, people commonly get hives at some point in their lives. He suggested they were probably an allergic reaction to something in my environment. Whew! That's comforting. I popped some Alavert for a couple weeks, and they eventually went away.
They're back!
Itchy red welts from hell. Anyone out there in cyberland have any advice? Taking Claritin keeps them under control, and they went away last year so I assume they will this year, too. Still, the sooner the better, I say. Very unpleasant. Thank god they aren't breaking out all over my face—yet!
