Not everyone likes to go toy shopping in person. You're embarrassed, you're lazy or you just can't find exactly what you're looking for. If virtual shopping is more your bag, check out these super-tasteful, independently run websites. They're sure to have what you're looking for, usually send purchases in an unmarked or disguised box, and have a slew of information on sex, health, toys, lubes and any other kinky thing your mind can conjure.

MyPleasure

www.mypleasure.com

An excellent resource for toys, lubes and information, including quizzes and tips from sexperts. Highlights: sex toy guide, sex glossary and sex toy dictionary. If you're going online sex toy shopping, don't pass this site up.

Babeland

www.babeland.com

The other website you should without-a-doubt visit. This is a favorite for many online sex toy shoppers. Previously known as Toys in Babeland, this site is tasteful and nicely organized with a huge selection of toys and a very useful shopping guide. It also carries fetish-ware and always features a nice sale section.

A suggestion for those who can't decide on what they want: Try the Hitachi Magic Wand, an awesome massager/vibrator—there are a number of dildos made to fit over it, so it can potentially give you a lot of options.

Eve's Garden

www.evesgarden.com

Aimed at women, although they do have a section for men, this website has a nice selection of toys and lubes, along with a variety of other accoutrements.

A Woman's Touch

www.a-womans-touch.com

This site has an emphasis on education and resources, while still offering toys and lingerie. It's run by two women—a physician and a social worker—who have focused the site on sensuality and sexual health.

Blowfish

www.blowfish.com

This site isn't as aesthetically well-developed as some of the other sites, but still offers many quality items, along with highly detailed descriptions and recommendations for most of their products. Don't let looks deceive you—this is one of the best and most informative sites out there, and they even showcase a special section for “art toys.”

Good Vibrations

www.goodvibes.com

This is as classy as it gets, folks. Good Vibrations has been around for nearly 30 years, and they know their stuff. With their own line of quality products on top of all the standards, they offer more than most other places. They also have one of the best selections of books and videos (including those that are women-directed and women-centric), along with fetish/bondage gear, condoms and bachelorette party items. They also always have great sale items available. Don't miss this site.

Goofy Foot Press

www.goofyfootpress.com

These are the folks who published the Guide To Getting It On! (see accompanying book review), and they know it better than anyone. This site is more resource-minded than anything else but will direct you to some of the most interesting information about sex on the web today. It includes a free weekly column on sex topics and sex tips.

Libida

www.libida.com

Another good sex toy website for women, with a nice selection. This site doesn't out-compete the others, but it's a good place to visit if you're looking for some variety.
